COMPANY MILESTONES

Since the company's inception in 1992, Broadview Networks has grown to become one of the largest telecommunications service providers of hosted and managed communications solutions to business customers in the Northeastern United States.

Broadview Networks is the combination of three major Competitive Local Exchange Carriers also known as CLECs. They are Broadview Networks , ATX Communications and InfoHighway Communications.  The combined entities acquired almost a dozen additional telecommunications companies since 1999 to combine customer and network assets and to establish a wide range of voice, data and Internet service solutions for our customers.
The list below provides a quick overview of the historical highlights of the company from its inception to today.

2007

  • Broadview aquires InfoHighway Communications.

2006

  • Broadview aquires ATX Communications.
  • InfoHighway launches Hosted PBX services in the Boston Market
  • Deploys fiber rings to 10 premier commercial office buildings in New York City and launched the new and state-of-the-art OnLight Internet Service, a fiber-based network access offering with speeds up to 100 Mbps
  • InfoHighway acquires Future Telecom’s customer base

2005

  • InfoHighway merges with Eureka Networks to become one of the largest hosted and managed communications providers in the Northeast
  • InfoHighway rolls out On-Net product portfolio to its Agent partners, including Hosted PBX (based on VoIP technology) and Lit-Building Internet services
  • Deploys multiple fiber rings to interconnect ten Central Offices and POPs in Manhattan
  • InfoHighway is listed among Crain’s Top 200 Privately Held Companies in New York second year in a row

2004

  • InfoHighway reports record 2003 growth and earnings
  • Hosted PBX is launched as the company’s flagship product
  • InfoHighway implements its first Broadsoft network soft-switch

2003

  • InfoHighway introduces its new billing system called COMX, with expanded features, including online billing
  • Company achieves seven consecutive quarters of positive EBITDA and Net Income results
  • Eureka GGN changes its name to Eureka Networks

2002

  • Acquisition of New York-based North American Communications and Control (NACC) is announced
  • InfoHighway becomes EBITDA positive in April, 2002
  • InfoLink Web-based sales portal is introduced
  • Expanded Operations Center is opened in Melville, NY
  • Acquisition of Lightyear Communications’ customer base in the Northeast is announced
  • Eureka GGN purchases the New York area assets of Edge Connections in March 2002 and introduces Integrated T1 product
  • Eureka GGN purchases eLink Communications, establishing a strong presence in the Washington, D.C. market
  • CIBC, Trimaran Fund and Bass Brothers Crestline Fund join the Board of Directors

2001

  • Launches first, facilities-based service in the New York metropolitan area
  • InfoHighway adds Delaware and Connecticut to its local service footprint
  • InfoHighway Roadmap Online Product Guide is introduced to Agent Partners
  • Conference Calling On-Demand and Enhanced Voice Mail products are introduced in all markets
  • Company acquires the assets of Nex in February and Wired Environments in June
  • LLR and Apollo Advisors joins Board of Directors
  • The Company receives $21 million in financing

2000

  • Eureka Networks and GGN deploys fiber/copper networks in over 500 commercial office buildings in the New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles metro areas
  • Local service (Business Access Plus or BAP) is rolled out in nine additional New England and Mid-Atlantic States
  • New England sales office is opened in Westwood, MA
  • Eureka Networks and GGN merge in December 2000
  • InfoHighway receives initial $45 million of a total $150 million financing commitment from GTCR, a Chicago-based private equity firm

1999

  • ARC Networks acquires InfoHighway International, a Houston-based ISP and DSL provider. InfoHighway Communications Corporation is formed, and the combined company begins to market its services under the InfoHighway brand
  • GGN acquires Long Island Information Inc. and becomes a facilities-based ISP in the New York Metro area
  • InfoHighway introduces its flagship local service, Business Access Plus, using UNE-P platform from Verizon

1998

  • Company experiences continued sales growth by adding several NY area universities, school systems and hospitals as customers

1997

  • InfoHighway signs wholesale agreement with NYNEX/Bell Atlantic to offer local services
  • InfoHighway successfully launches single customer bill for all voice and data services

1996

  • ARC Networks signs the first of several CUNY colleges as customers; Bronx Community College

1995

  • InfoHighway adds dedicated Internet access and dial-up services to its product portfolio to become one of the first Integrated Communications Providers to the small- to medium-sized business customers

1994

  • InfoHighway adds Long Distance services to its product portfolio
  • First bundled, local and long distance service package is offered on a single bill

1993

  • InfoHighway becomes first non-facilities-based local service provider with partnership with Teleport Communications Group (TCG)
  • Local service is introduced in New York metro area

1992

  • InfoHighway (formerly ARC Networks) is incorporated as cabling contractor for major telecommunications companies
