GENERAL FAQs

  • What is the difference between Broadview and other service providers?
Broadview is the leading provider of hosted and managed communications solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses in the Northeastern United States. Founded in 1993, the company has become one of the fastest growing and largest competitive telecommunications and data/Internet service providers in the 14-state region from Maine to Virginia. Broadview was listed among Crain’s Magazine’s List of Top 200 Largest Privately Held Companies in New York in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

  • Will my telephone work the same way?
Yes. Nothing about the way you use your phone changes. For example: "0" operator, "411" information, "0" operator, "911" emergency, etc., all work the same way.

  • When I switch my service to Broadview will my telephone number remain the same?
Yes. There will be no need to change your phone number.

  • Will there be any interruption of service when I move to Broadview
In most cases, no. If you are moving from your local ILEC, there will be no downtime. However, if you are moving from a company other than the local ILEC, there may be downtime ranging from a few minutes to a few hours.

  • Do I need to call my previous telecommunications carrier to disconnect service?
Normally, you should not have to call your previous carrier. If you receive a bill from your previous carrier for a time frame that overlaps with InfoHighway’s invoice, simply give your previous carrier a call and they should be able to issue you a credit for the days you were not using their service.

  • Will my hunt groups or features change?
None of the features or functionality of your service will change when you move to Broadview. However, if you want us to change some of them, we can.

  • Can I keep my current long distance carrier?
Yes. You decide which long distance carrier you would like to use and you may change carriers at any time. And of course, Broadview offers competitively priced long distance service as well.

  • Are the rates that I've been given by Broadview "guaranteed" or are they subject to change?
Broadview cannot succeed without bringing you the most competitively-priced rates in the markets in which we service. Our rates are not guaranteed, but our success depends on our ability to consistently provide your business with competitively priced services and unparalleled customer service.

  • Do I need to dial any special codes to get my 10-30% savings?
No. There are no tricky codes to dial, no long-term commitments, and no interruption of service.

  • Where do I call if I am having a repair issue with my service?
Broadview’s Repair department works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be reached at 1-888-272-6389.
